Kynam Agarwood Bracelet, Rutilated Quartz & Turquoise, Disc-Cut

For the wrist that prefers clarity over color — Kynam agarwood in flat disc-cut form, a large rutilated quartz sphere, and a single note of turquoise, held with patterned detail.

The structure of this bracelet is deliberate and spare. Flat disc-cut agarwood beads — each one a thin cross-section that shows the grain across its full face — form a continuous dark band around the wrist. One large sphere breaks the rhythm entirely: a rutilated quartz bead of considerable size, its clear body threaded through with fine golden needle inclusions that catch and redirect light. A small turquoise disc and spacer rondelles spacers mark the transition on either side. Nothing else. The composition does not need more.

The disc-cut agarwood is for the texture that makes this bracelet feel different in the hand. Pill-cut or disc-cut agarwood beads are a particular format — wider than they are thick, like a series of flat coins strung together. They sit closer to the skin than round beads, the flat face of each disc warm against the wrist. The grain of the wood is visible across the full face of each disc: close, oil-rich, and varied from bead to bead. At approximately 8.8mm diameter, they are substantial without being heavy.

The rutilated quartz sphere is for the moment that holds everything still. At approximately 18mm, the quartz sphere is visually dominant — a large, globe-like focal point on a bracelet of otherwise restrained proportion. The golden needle inclusions are clearly visible through the clear body, giving the bead a warm interior glow rather than simple transparency. The spacer rondelles spacers on either side of it echo that warm interior light.

The turquoise disc is for the one point of color that keeps the bracelet honest. A single turquoise disc in high-porcelain blue-green quality provides the mineral contrast that prevents the gold-and-wood palette from becoming entirely warm. It is a small decision that shows in the overall balance.

This bracelet wears as quietly as it looks. The disc-cut format keeps it flat against the wrist; the quartz sphere sits at the center of the hand side naturally. Wear it alone. It does not need company to hold its presence.
