This is a piece built on the pleasure of contrast. The upper strand is all dark quiet: small Kynam agarwood rounds, deep brown and matte, spaced at intervals with beads that hold the rhythm. As the necklace reaches the front, it brightens — larger South Red Agate spheres step forward, deep orange-red and glossy, catching whatever light is in the room. The shift happens gradually, like a conversation moving from reserve to warmth.

Placed at intervals along the strand are two accent stones: a pale green nephrite jade bead, cool and translucent, and a banded carnelian — its stripes of red and ivory a smaller echo of the South Red nearby. A rectangular gold charm punctuates the lower front, engraved with a traditional motif. At the necklace's lowest point, a gold adjustable extension chain falls, finished with a small freshwater pearl and a gilt ornamental cap.
