Kynam Agarwood Bracelet, Spinach Jade & Gourd Charm, 8mm
For the wrist where color and warmth sit side by side — spinach jade and Kynam agarwood at 8mm, closed by a small gourd charm where they meet.
The jade is the thing you notice first. Spinach green — that specific vivid, waxy depth that is neither fully translucent nor opaque but somewhere between, each bead holding the light differently depending on angle. This is not a pale or muted green; it reads with presence from across the room. Close up, the surface is ice-smooth: dense, fine-grained stone polished to a finish that feels nothing like glass and everything like the material it is.
The agarwood rounds sit across from the jade bead for bead, matching it exactly in diameter. The color is warm dark brown — not black, but the specific register of resinous wood where grain lines are present but close enough together that the overall effect reads as depth rather than pattern. Against the vivid cold green of the jade, the warmth of the wood is amplified. Against the wood, the green of the jade reads more saturated. Neither would look quite the same alone.
The agarwood also carries its fragrance, faint and continuous against the wrist. Agarwood worn against skin does not require heat to release — it is simply present. A natural wood register, not sharp or heavy, present throughout the day in the way that good wood is always quietly there.
At the base of the strand, a single gourd charm — a form in Chinese decorative craft recognized for centuries as a sign of blessing and abundance — closes the composition at the elastic join. The gourd is compact and deliberate: a traditional ornamental accent that answers both the cool green jade and the warm dark wood without competing with either. The third voice, the small punctuation that makes the combination read as intentional rather than assembled.
The spinach jade is for the color — vivid, cool, and particular in a way that cannot be approximated. The Kynam agarwood is for the warmth — fragrance and visual tone both, the dark counterweight to the vivid green. The gourd is for the note between them: the traditional accent that holds the piece together.

About Agarwood
Agarwood forms when an aquilaria tree responds to injury by producing a dense, resin-saturated heartwood. The rarer the resin, the deeper the fragrance.
Kynam is the highest grade — soft, oily, complex. Its scent shifts from sweet to floral to woody throughout the day.
