Agarwood Incense Sticks, Phu Son & Nha Trang Red Earth Gift Set
For the collector who wants both at once — two of the most prized red-earth agarwood origins, side by side in a single gift box.
Red-earth agarwood — hongtu in the Chinese aromatic tradition — refers to resin-bearing wood grown in iron-rich laterite soils. The soil character shapes the fragrance in ways that are distinct from agarwood grown in other environments: a deeper, more grounded woodiness, often with subtle mineral or earthy undertones beneath the resin.
This gift set brings together two celebrated red-earth origins. Phu Son red earth, from the Phu Son region of Vietnam, is known for a rich, steady resin note — warm and deep, with a classic agarwood character that opens slowly and lingers. Nha Trang red earth, from the Vietnamese coastal growing region, leans slightly sweeter and more complex, with a fragrance that carries a trace of ocean-adjacent air in its softer moments.
The sticks are fine — 1.5 mm by 21 cm — and each origin is packed in its own glass tube with a cork stopper, clearly labeled by hand in calligraphy. This format preserves the fragrance character of each origin and makes the gift legible to a discerning recipient: not mixed or blended, but two distinct expressions presented for comparison.
The outer packaging is a deep red gift box with gold calligraphy, branded under the name Xiang Li. Inside, the tubes are held in a cream-colored foam tray with a small ceramic incense holder set at the center. The presentation is serious and considered — appropriate for a gift that is meant to communicate both taste and generosity.
Burn the Phu Son sticks first. Let the smoke settle before opening the Nha Trang tube. The comparison reveals something about what soil and origin actually mean in a fragrance — not as a label, but as a material difference you can perceive through smoke.

About Agarwood
Agarwood forms when an aquilaria tree responds to injury by producing a dense, resin-saturated heartwood. The rarer the resin, the deeper the fragrance.
Kynam is the highest grade — soft, oily, complex. Its scent shifts from sweet to floral to woody throughout the day.
