Size — wrist

For the wrist that wants its two stones to hold a tension — web-pattern turquoise rounds and blue-purple sugilite cubes in alternating sequence, with flat Kynam agarwood discs between them as the dark connecting note.

The composition alternates between two distinct stone forms around the full circle: turquoise rounds and sugilite cubes. The round-versus-cube contrast is as deliberate as the color contrast — the same distinction in geometry repeated all the way around the bracelet, giving the eye both a color rhythm and a shape rhythm to follow.

The turquoise is for the matrix ground. The turquoise rounds are approximately 6 mm, high-matrix: the dark web pattern of the natural matrix runs across each bead's surface against a blue-green ground. No two beads carry the same web pattern; the matrix lines make each piece individually identifiable. The color sits in the blue-green register, the matrix darkening the overall impression relative to unblemished turquoise, reading as natural and slightly aged. This is the turquoise that shows its provenance through the pattern rather than hiding it under a uniform color field.

The sugilite is for the deep violet. The sugilite cubes are blue-purple — a deep violet-to-indigo color range, the stone in its most characteristic hue. The cube form gives them a different visual weight from the rounds: their flat faces catch light evenly, the color reading as solid and saturated rather than broken by surface curve. Against the blue-green turquoise, the blue-purple sugilite reads as the cooler, deeper note — two stones in the cool register that nonetheless differ significantly in hue and saturation, the contrast between them the main visual event of the bracelet.

The Kynam agarwood is for the quiet thread. Between the stones, flat agarwood discs appear as spacers — thin, dark warm-brown, the form of small flat coins sitting between each stone pair. The agarwood presence is quiet: the discs are small enough that the material reads as a structural spacer rather than a featured bead, but the wood fragrance accumulates across the full circle of discs through wear, adding the agarwood note to a composition otherwise entirely of stone.

The overall character is what the source calls wabi-sabi: the raw mineral beauty of stones that carry their natural texture and pattern rather than polishing it away. The matrix web in the turquoise, the depth of the sugilite purple, the quiet dark wood between them — the bracelet earns its look from the natural character of its materials rather than from elaboration.

Materials: Turquoise (round, approx. 6 mm, natural matrix web pattern, blue-green); sugilite (cube, blue-purple); Kynam agarwood (flat disc spacers); elastic cord.

Natural stones — color and matrix pattern vary by piece. Natural agarwood — grain and fragrance vary. Avoid water and oils. Store in a pouch when not worn.

About Agarwood

Agarwood forms when an aquilaria tree responds to injury by producing a dense, resin-saturated heartwood. The rarer the resin, the deeper the fragrance.

Kynam is the highest grade — soft, oily, complex. Its scent shifts from sweet to floral to woody throughout the day.
